A Purple Star School is recognized for actively supporting military families and the unique needs of transitions and deployments. Ellicott Elementary provides resources and programs to help military families be successful academically and socially. 

The adolescent years are marked by a roller-coaster of emotions – difficult for students and their parents. It is easy to misread depression as normal adolescent turmoil; however, depression (among the most common of mental illnesses) does occur in some adolescents.
