Ellicott Elementary School Counseling Program – 2022-2023 School Year

Hello and thank you for visiting the Ellicott Elementary Mental Health webpage!
Have you ever wondered what a school counselor does? Our school implements an ASCA model School Counseling program (www.schoolcounselor.org) which includes development in academic, social/emotional, and career/college exploration areas. The counselor implements these components through small groups, individual counseling as needed, and classroom guidance lessons.
A sampling of topics that may be focused on throughout the year include; diversity, goal setting, transition to middle school, social skills, managing anger, grief and loss, worry/anxiety, mindfulness, emotion regulation, friendship skill development, coping skills, and more!
