Circulation Information and Policies

  • Checkout Policies

The library is open daily for student checkouts, computer use, and for classes to visit the library for a variety of activities. Students may check out books from their building library on any given day and need not wait for their scheduled class time to do so. Students may visit the library with teacher permission anytime during the day while it is open.

Students may check out three books at a time. Each book has a loan period of two weeks and may be renewed as long as the item has not been reserved by another patron.

    In-Library Use Materials

Reference materials and magazines are not checked out but may be used in the library during operating hours.

    Renewals

Materials can be renewed by bringing them to the circulation desk. Renewals cannot be made without the book being presented to the library staff on duty. There is no limit to the number of times a book can be renewed.

    Reserves

If a desired item is currently checked out, students and staff may reserve that item at the circulation desk. When the item is returned, the book will be placed in the “hold” section for the student who reserved it to pick it up.
