Discovery Backpacks and Student Network Accounts
Discovery BackpacksDiscovery Backpacks are available in the Ellicott Elementary Library for students in grades K-5 to check out. These kits are themed in the areas of science, math, reading, and social studies and provide the opportunity for families to share in exploring these activities at home together.
Students must have a permission slip signed by the parent in order to check these items out. The loan period is one week and the replacement cost of lost items is based on the individual item.
Student Network AccountsMiddle school and high school students have the opportunity to have an individual account on the District’s LAN network in order to have Internet access for school assignments and research projects.
Each student who wishes to have an account must turn in a completed signed copy of the District’s approved Acceptable Use Agreement. This form is to be read and signed by both the student and a parent / guardian. Forms are available in each Library Media Center. Forms are to be returned to the student’s building Library Media Center.
Students who do not have individual accounts on the network will have access to a generic account which provides access to use of Microsoft Office so that school assignments can be completed as expected.
