2020 Art Contest
It is time to celebrate the brave citizens in our country who displayed patriotism through their service in the Armed Forces. Create a poster for the theme “We Are All In This Together“ Veterans Day 2020, ART Contest. Entries will be judged by Airmen from SAFB. Art Contest winners will be displayed in our Virtual Veterans Day Assembly the week of November 9, 2020.
Entry deadline is 4:00 pm on October 19, 2020 . Be sure to print your: Name, grade and teacher on the back of the poster in the upper right hand corner.
Where to Submit Your Entry
Grades K-5 turn in your entry to Ms. Kelley, Elementary Art Teacher
Grades 6-8, turn in your entry to Ms. Matesevac, Middle School Art Teacher
Grades 9-12 turn in your entry to Mr. Boswell, High School Art Teacher
Teachers and Community members turn in your Entry to Mikaela Copeland at the district office
In keeping with District Policy, artwork may not include acts of violence.
Who May Enter: Any Student, Staff, or Community Member
Divisions: Division I – Grades K, 1 & 2
Division II – Grades 3, 4 & 5
Division III – Grades 6, 7 & 8
Division IV – Grades 9, 10, 11 & 12
Division V - Staff and Community Members
Awards will be given to the first 5 places in each division.
Judging rubric is part of this notice.
The Theme this year is “We Are All In This Together” Please find your own unique, creative way to show how Military Service Members and Civilians (non-service members) are all working together to keep our country safe and free, how Service Members and Civilians need each other, need the same things, how we are facing some of the same challenges or how we will all get through the current challenges in our country together.
It is important to include patriotic elements of design in your poster such as:
- The American Flag
- The colors red, white and blue. You may use other colors too.
- The American Eagle
- Service men and women
- Anything else that represents America and/or service members
